Le Cherche Midi was recently introduced to a great cause that we immediately acted on and wanted to let you know about: Donate to a Diva. The holiday season is fast approaching and for years, Cindy Tawiah’s salon, Shades of U, has hosted residents from local battered women’s shelters for a day of pampering.

Donate to A Diva is a holiday initiative providing gift bags to bring a moment of cheer to 250 women residents of battered women’s shelters in the Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia areas. Although these women have moved to the safety of a shelter, the holidays are a particularly hard time as they grapple with the emotional and physical pains caused by domestic abuse. In this time of dwindling funding, many shelters are not able to provide much in the way of gifts, so bags filled with items to beautify and uplift these women are a touching and heartfelt gift.  Le Cherche Midi is proud to take part and has donated product for this year’s gift bags.
